Thousands of elk call the Jackson Hole valley their home.  They live and travel from the southern end of the valley all the way through Yellowstone, and up into the Gros Ventre mountains.  Grand Teton National Park is an easy place to observe elk in their natural habitat, especially during the fall rut.

Tiny created this elk sketch one fall afternoon while observing this harem.  This regal bull was intently watching over cows and his rack lined up exactly with the outline of the Tetons.  

Measuring 12 inches by 2.5 inches (unframed) and 16.5 inches by 7 inches (framed),  this piece simply and beautifully captures both the Tetons and this elk herd.
